LoJack Bahamas in conjunction with the Royal Bahamas Police Force and members of the Bahamas General Insurers Association are proud to bring the LoJack stolen vehicle recovery system to the Bahamas. Lojack Bahamas will be responsible for the installation and the maintenance of the LoJack unit in your vehicle. Installations will be performed in secure premises by highly trained vetted installers.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force will receive and process your stolen vehicle report and then activate your LoJack unit. Once activated the Lojack unit emits an inaudible trackable signal. The police have been trained by LoJack professionals in tracking stolen vehicles. The LoJack tracking equipped police cars will automatically pick up the LoJack signal and will be able to locate the vehicle quickly.
Bahamas First General Insurance Company Limited, Insurance Company of the Bahamas Ltd., RoyalStar Assurance Ltd., and Summit Insurance Company Ltd. and their authorized agents will be offering rebates and incentives for LoJack equipped vehicles. A one-time only premium rebate of between $50.00 and $150.00 will be given based on the price of the policy held. This rebate will only apply to customers insured under a comprehensive or third party fire and theft policy, and will be granted upon the insurer receiving the receipt of payment from LoJack.
Each year thereafter, in lieu of an annual discount, the insurer will pay the $50.00 annual maintenance fee directly to LoJack on behalf of the policy holder, once the LoJack unit has passed inspection by a certified LoJack installer.
Insurers will waive the standard theft deductible in the event that a vehicle fitted with a LoJack transmitter is stolen.
